Hyaluronic acid reduces pelvic pain
Pretreatment features to influence effectiveness of intravesical hyaluronic Acid instillation in refractory interstitial cystitis/painful bladder syndrome.

We aimed to understand how effective intravesical hyaluronic acid (HA) treatment is for women suffering from refractory interstitial cystitis/painful bladder syndrome (IC/PBS). In our study, 33 patients with significant pain received weekly HA instillations for four weeks. We assessed their pain levels and overall symptoms at the end of the treatment.
The results indicated that HA instillation was both effective and safe, helping to reduce pain among participants. Interestingly, we found that previous treatments or the presence of Hunner's ulcer did not influence HA's effectiveness.
